Hello everyone, firstly I wanted to say thank you to all of you for registering and to help raise our amazing amount of money for cancer treatment. I think I can start to feel my feet again so hopefully everyone else is starting recover. It was such a full day with our special guests and displays. I’m sorry if I didn’t get to say hello to everyone but next year should be a bit more relaxed so I will have more time to walk. Hi all, we have done an amazing job so far fund raising but we have another team tracking us down, I need your help so we can stay in the number 1 spot for most money raised, if you would like to donate or you know someone who would like to donate please do. The other team last year raised just over 20k from memory so we do have a late challenge on our hands. Let’s goooooo team emergency services

For those that are attending the 24hr against cancer this weekend Gates open at 0700. If you can help come down to set up that would be great, we will arrive around 0630 and will some help transporting everything down to the oval And also packing up if you are free and would like to help we would like to have most of it ready to be moved around 0900 on the Sunday. 1m gap from track to Gazebo. No glass bottles No pets No wheeled items except trolleys to move things around Be in the stands about 0945 for the opening ceremony, the earlier the better as you can get shade Treasures tent to collect the official 24 hour against cancer shirts, large white tent. For those that have purchased a team emergency services shirt we will have them at our tent set up, just look for FRNSW and Transport for NSW tents and ask for Sean. There is a Lap of remembrance at dusk Ensure you put your rubbish in the bins and please separate your rubbish from the recycling bins as they do recycle the cans and bottles etc. No naked flame, you can bring battery operated candles if you like. There will be food and drinks to buy if you like. We will have a limited amount of bottled water at our tent set up for walkers and sunscreen. Gates shut at 2000hrs on Saturday night for safety, if you need to get in or out after 2000hrs you will need to contact me so I can let security know. 0401195088. I am speaking again this year at the ceremony. I’m looking forward to walking with everyone.

And we have reached our target of $12,170, EML have been by my side since being diagnosed and they have stepped up again donating $3k to our team to help those fighting this terrible disease that effects so many families. I have set a new target of $14,000. We have done it again $14,000 target is now $15,000, super proud of the team

I have been informed of another individual that has set a huge target for the walk, Bianca from Catherine Fields RFS Brigade is going to attempt to walk the full 24 hours, this is what the walk is about, putting yourself out of your comfort zone and pushing yourself, this is what every cancer patient goes through and it’s simply amazing that others would want to do this to understand and help raise much needed funds for the families having to go through this terrible time in their lives, you go girl

How good are we going, I have been told we have 2 paramedics that are going to set a goal of 100km on the day, this is a massive effort and we need to get behind them, please use the massive effort to help raise more donations for our team, we have just in 2 months to get to $12,170 so we have some work to do. Thank you to all who have taken on this challenge and joined team emergency services. ❤️

Could Heather woods please make contact with me, we need your shirt size ASAP to put the shirt order through and we also had an order from a qantas account that didn’t specify a size. We need to get this order through so if you haven’t responded by midday tomorrow we will just order XL for you .
